Established in 2005.

Jason Lorenz is the Founder and CEO of LDL, a company that he and his wife Shannon started in 2005. Growing up, Jason loved building and planning bike trails, which eventually led to his passion for building furniture and interior carpentry. During the early days of entrepreneurship, Jason drove from job site to job site looking for work, while Shannon personally went door-to-door dropping off business cards. Within a couple of years, Jason’s reputation as a contractor gained traction in the Sea to Sky Community, and that’s when Lorenz Developments Ltd was formed.

Fast forward to today, LDL is one of the leading and most trusted construction and renovation companies in the Corridor. Our team has successfully managed projects ranging from new builds, commercial work and renovations. With 20 years in the construction business, we are well-established, fully insured, licensed and recognized by industry trade associations that have the highest standards for professional conduct and service. Jason is a licensed builder recognized by BC Housing and preferred by reputable insurance and strata companies.

At Lorenz Developments Ltd, we are always challenging ourselves to combine new and traditional building methods to create sustainable, innovative and durable living spaces that meet the highest environmental standards.

We minimize waste by repurposing and donating unused materials.
We look at our projects as a whole to best determine how to maximize the life of the building while minimizing its environmental impact.
We use materials which require low maintenance and incorporate local and reclaimed materials whenever possible.

For us, being a sustainable business means greater design efficiency, less chemicals, more carpooling, local partnerships, online billing and an ongoing effort to reduce, reuse and recycle. It’s better for your project, and better for the environment.

Our Process

Throughout the renovating or building process, you are always up to speed with the project status. This increases efficiencies and lowers costs for the entire project.
